I found this guys art a couple of months ago and he is one of my favorite artist.
This guy has legitimate talent, I wonder what degree of significance does the job seeker's social circle and interpersonal skills play into this. ACG fans aren't exactly the most graceful social butterflies. Its not surprising to know that employment in the ACG (Anime Comics Games) industries are very competitive and given that supply is higher than demand, jobs are hard to come by.
How is he unemployed with this type of work? It's amazing and I think it'd be great for him to work at an anime studio making splash art or something
That's quite a portfolio. It's unfortunate he can't get steady work, though commission-based work may pay the bills if he has the communication-skills... not sure. A lack of industry experience and exposure is most likely the issue, as he's certainly good enough.

He should write/draw some manga.
